The challenge

What was actually constraining the business

USA Gun Store sells to two audiences at once. Local customers in Wynne need hours, directions, availability and a reason to drive over. National customers need a deep, filterable catalog, honest stock status and a transfer process that does not confuse them at checkout.

Serving both from one site usually means one of them gets a compromised experience. The local business gets buried under catalog pages, or the catalog is built so thin that it never earns non-branded search at all.

The approach

Which systems were engaged

Every engagement is scoped against the same five systems. These are the ones that carried the work here.

01Growth System

Two intents, one architecture

Local intent and catalog intent were separated at the information-architecture level: a local business layer with location, hours and service content, and a category and brand layer built to be crawled, filtered and indexed at national scale.

03Fulfillment System

Catalog that survives its own size

Firearms, ammunition, optics, parts and accessories were structured with consistent taxonomy, attributes and filtering so that a large catalog stays navigable for customers and legible to search engines.

03Fulfillment System

Transfer-aware checkout

The checkout path explains what happens with a serialized firearm before the customer commits, and routes the order into the FFL workflow instead of leaving the dealer relationship to email.

02Payment System

Processing that fits the category

Payments were placed with firearm-friendly processing so that online and in-store sales run through infrastructure that will not be withdrawn for selling exactly what the business is licensed to sell.

What we built

The implementation

  • A WooCommerce catalog covering firearms, ammunition, air guns, optics, parts and accessories with structured attributes and brand architecture.
  • Local business pages and location content that give the Wynne storefront its own presence separate from the national catalog.
  • FFL Cockpit integration for transfer and compliance workflow behind the online order pipeline.
  • Payment placement and gateway integration appropriate for firearm ecommerce.

Where it stands

The outcome

The retail business and the ecommerce business no longer compete for the same pages. Local customers find a store; national customers find a catalog.

Order volume, transfers and inventory move through a single operating path rather than three parallel manual ones.

Platform & tooling

  • WordPress
  • WooCommerce
  • FFL Cockpit
  • Distributor feeds
